<P><BR><FONT color=black size=2>Brian Molko: 主唱/吉他手 <BR>生于1972年。少年时代立志学习表演，后与好友Stefan Olsdal组建ASHTRAY HEART乐队，将改名为PLACEBO。受热爱戏剧的影响，Brain从11岁就开始喜欢化妆，擦指甲油。作为一名才华横溢的主唱，也正是这种独特而鲜明的个人风格带动和影响了整个PLACEBO乐队，使之成为区别于其余英伦乐队的最主要风格。几乎所有的媒体，只要谈到Brian都会用一个词来形容：androgynous(雌雄莫辨)。 </FONT></P>
<P><BR><FONT color=black size=2>Stefan Olsdal：贝斯/键盘 <BR>1987年就开始音乐创作，曾于管弦乐队担任鼓手，并在卢森堡的音乐家音乐学院学习吉他演奏。也正是在这他与主唱Brian相识并最终决定成立乐队。尽管外界对Brain和Stefan之间的晦涩关系多加猜测，但无疑Stefan是整个乐队的支柱，也是支持PLACEBO一路走下去的最大助推力。 </FONT></P>
<P><BR><FONT color=black size=2>Steve Hewitt：鼓手 <BR>1971年生于英国的诺维奇郡。由STEFAN介绍加入PLACEBO担任鼓手。后因为同时又兼任另一乐队鼓手惹上官司缠身而被迫离开。这也使PLACEBO经历了漫长的寻找鼓手的过程。1996年,Steve终于回归PLACEBO，事实也证明他是乐队最合适的鼓手人选。 <BR><BR><FONT color=red>成员变化：</FONT></FONT></P>

<P><BR><FONT color=black size=2>Placebo乐队灌录的第一张单曲《BRUISE PRISTINE》于1995年采用独立厂牌推出。1997年Placebo的单曲《NANCY BOY》甫一亮相就登上了英国排行榜的第四名。同月，乐队又在D<SPAN class=t_tag onclick=tagshow(event) href="tag.php?name=AVI">AVI</SPAN>D BOWIE的50岁生日派对上进行了一场特殊的演出，地点是在纽约著名的麦迪逊广场公园。那一年PLACEBO一直是公众注视的焦点，他们举行了足以刊登在报纸头条的全英巡演，他们在伦敦的BRIXTON ACADEMY压轴出场，他们还和U2一起进行了名为“POPMART”的欧洲巡演。同时，PLACEBO也尝到了当<SPAN class=t_tag onclick=tagshow(event) href="tag.php?name=%B5%E7%D3%B0">电影</SPAN><SPAN class=t_tag onclick=tagshow(event) href="tag.php?name=%C3%F7%D0%C7">明星</SPAN>的滋味，他们在1998年秋上映的电影《天鹅绒金矿》中客串出演。 </FONT></P>
